This Commack, NY landscaping project required a major transformation of the property, beginning with approximately 400 cubic yards of clean fill to reshape, build up and properly grade the site. The Top of the Line Landscaping team then brought in 60 cubic yards of screened organic topsoil to create a quality growing base. To establish natural privacy around the property, we planted 45 Green Giant Arborvitae, creating a substantial evergreen border that will become fuller and more private as it matures.
Finishing the property required just as much attention to establishing and protecting the new landscape. We installed 38 flats of pachysandra along with erosion-control jute netting to help stabilize the soil while the new plantings become established. The open lawn areas were completed with grass seed, peat moss and starter fertilizer to encourage healthy new growth. From hundreds of cubic yards of material and extensive grading to privacy plantings, ground cover and a newly seeded lawn, this Commack project shows what goes into building a landscape from the ground up. Top of the Line—Because Good Enough Isn’t.
